“IRH Pigeon Forge has given me many chances to meet new people and cultural exchange by learning a 3rd language, trying food from different countries, and promoting my country (Jamaica). I also had a great opportunity like getting to play soccer for Tornado FC.  My most special moment was when I joined the International Angels and I truly have enjoyed being apart of and giving back to the local communities. IRH is my Home Away From Home.”

With our welcoming and inclusive design elements like community kitchens and living spaces, developing friendships that feel like family is not only inevitable – it’s nearly effortless.

From educational events to cultural exchanges, the Host Team works to create avenues and opportunities for residents to experience a myriad of places and people both within our residence halls and our community.

As we prioritize the safety and well-being of each resident who calls IRH “home,” our Hosts are accessible 24/7. The IRH hospitality team values each resident and their security above any other aspect of our roles as caretakers in each residential facility.

Businesses need employees, but finding adequate housing can be a big challenge. Leave the housing to IRH! We build, own and operate employee housing so you can spend less time on employee housing, and more time running and growing your business.

“With the addition of the IRH campus on Dollywood property, Dollywood is adding 53 operational days to the park calendar thanks to the availability of workforce due to IRH housing.”

President, The Dollywood Company

Many tourism-driven communities face seasonal demands, making access to a reliable workforce a challenge. A seasonal workforce, including J-1 exchange students, H2B workers, and interns, can help fill the employment gap that many communities face year after year.

Not only does having adequate workforce help the economy of your local community, but having international employees fosters intercultural communication and meaningful, lifelong connections.

“They (IRH) have benefitted our community by helping to provide a safe, reliable, and caring place to call home for the many seasonal, and short-term international students that live in our city”

Cultural exchange visitors create an enriching community, brimming with diversity. With over thirty countries represented in IRH housing facilities, lifelong connections are made between the local community and the rest of the world.

Experiencing other corners of the world doesn’t end with the conclusion of an international visa worker or seasonal employment contract. Both international students and locals carry the long-term impact of cultural diversity beyond a season of high tourist foot traffic.

"IRH has been a completely game changer, not just because the International Host are safe and they have a modern and reliable place to live, they are able to provide the best customer service to our guest due to their living conditions and we see it every day in the job they perform. Before the Residence Hall was available we had to limit the number of International we could hire and it was time consuming for me and my team to find a safe and reliable place for them to stay.”

HR Employment Coordinator SDC

"Housing is THE KEY to promoting your area employers. Sponsors will limit or won’t allow J1 placements in communities with poor or limited housing. Intrax and the Department of State considers IRH, and the Wilderness and Kalahari dorms as the Gold Standard for the J1 Summer Work Travel Program to stay.”
